Leon Sandy Gower
I was actually born in Gravesend Hospital (the present location of Radio North Kent’s
studio) and 23 years later I returned to the now re-designed building to begin helping
out in any way I could.
Over the months since my return I have been collecting requests,
recording jingles, editing various pop songs (removing any swearing), recording pre-recorded shows
(Leon Gower’s Golden Hour) and reading the “Weird News” on the Thursday evening Decade Show
with Andrew,Darren and Sharron . I’ve greatly enjoyed all these tasks and hope that over
the coming months I will be a lot more involved now that I'm a permanent member of the
Radio North Kent team. I'm a relief presenter and committee member since May 2012
Leon has made it to "The shortlist for the 2013 Best Newcomer award" for HBA UK
2017 Leon made the short list for best male presenter award for HBA UK
