Hi I’m Samantha Kangal-Nurse,
I’m 18 years old & I have always been interested in hospital radio.
My father was one of the original members of Radio North Kent and from
a young age I would go around with him to this station and many different
stations, Recording embarrassing jingles for him.
In September 2007 I will be going to Winchester university to study for
a BA honours in performing arts & drama. I have always been interested in
performing arts taking part in a variety of shows in the Mick Jagger centre
& the Woodville halls & attending Various stage school.
I have been dancing for 13 years & I can do different types of dancing
but mainly Irish dancing which I have won the Celtic Championships whilst
taking part in the national field.
I have just finished my A levels at ST Johns Catholic School, which consisted
of Theatre studies, Philosophy & ethics & music. I have helped organise shows
at ST Johns & have done voluntary work teaching dance & drama.
I enjoy listening to all different genres of music & enjoy singing & playing
musical instruments.
My favourite radio stations are Choice FM, BBC Radio 1, XFM, Kiss 100,
Smooth Radio.
I like watching music channels, MTV, The Hits, MTV Base & TMF, this helps
me keep up to date with the latest songs.
I love going out with my mates, having a laugh & a good dance to the new dance
hits, well I dance to the cheesy stuff as well. I like to meet new people.
